THE BIG PICTURE

My loans

Repayments are records of transfers you've made elsewhere. Amounts reflect your saved schedule.

LESS AWKWARD. MORE UNDERSTOOD.

A better way
to be there.

Being generous is the easy part.
Keeping the details clear helps the rest.

Make room for a good plan ↗
01

Start with a conversation.

Use the planner to see monthly repayments and total interest. Set terms you both understand before money changes hands.

02

Put it in writing.

Keep the amount, dates, and agreement notes in one loan record. Copy the terms or print a schedule for your friend.

03

Keep the record current.

Add repayments as they happen. Partial payments count, upcoming dates stay visible, and completed loans stay in your history.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Let's keep
things clear.

Where are my records saved?

In this browser on this device. FriendLend doesn't send your loan records to a server. Download a backup to keep a separate copy or move to another browser. Clearing site data removes the browser's saved records.

Does FriendLend move money?

Use your preferred payment service for transfers. FriendLend helps you plan the repayments and keep a record of transfers once they happen.

Can I record part of a repayment?

Yes. Record the amount that was actually transferred. FriendLend allocates recorded repayments to the earliest unpaid installments and shows what remains.

What happens if a payment date changes?

You can edit financial terms before any repayments have been recorded. After that, the original schedule stays fixed to preserve the record. Use the loan notes to keep track of a revised arrangement, and share the update with your friend.

How does sharing work?

You choose what leaves your device. Copying terms, printing, or downloading a loan creates a summary or file for you to share. FriendLend doesn't send messages, invite people, or verify that the other person has agreed.

Keep your next loan clear ↗

Record a transfer that has already happened. This entry keeps track of it; it doesn't move money.

Saved in this browser.

Your names, loan terms, repayment entries, and notes are stored on your current device. There is no account or cloud synchronization. Other people using the same browser profile can access these records.

You control what you share.

Backups, schedules, calendar files, copied summaries, and printouts contain the details you put in your records. FriendLend does not send them to anyone. Downloads and clipboard copies are yours to share.

Keep a copy.

Download a backup regularly. Clearing site data, switching browser profiles, or using a different device will not carry your records over. Importing a backup adds new records; it won't overwrite a different saved version of an existing loan.

Your workspace, not your bank.

FriendLend organizes personal loan plans and records. Transfer funds through the payment service you and your friend choose. The schedule and notes are personal records, not proof of funding or acceptance by the other person.
